How does flow really move through a living sponge? Normally they pump water very slowly through tiny spaces. You could model it, right? But don't forget the tissues! Are you familiar with Adrian Bejan and his Constructal Law theory? I think it helps to support self-organization as an explanation tissue development in biology.
